Lock Down Post : How I styled my Pajama this Quarantine!

style

Amidst the lockdown, perhaps I wanted to try something new. To look at the brighter side, the time right now is experimental and so full of opportunities to learn new things. Yeah, so thinking about all of this stuff, I added a thing to wake up to every morning and cry a little inside in front of the mirror. I got fringes and I cut it all by myself. It’s not even aligned.

Meanwhile, we have been stuck in lockdown for a while now and most of the girls are probably living in their Pajamas!

I wanted to share how I have been styling my Pajamas. Here we go:

Step 1: Select your Pajama

Step 2: Pick your Bralette or Cami Top (I suggest you pick tighter ones)

Step 3: Add a Kimono

Step 4: Paint your nails all in different colors.

Step 5: Pick a good earring

Step 6: Wear your comfortable Slippers

Step 7: Wear your confidence and flaunt it

Besides slaying it at home, this outfit can be worn to your local grocery shopping with a tote bag too.

I messed up with my nails

I think my Kimono compliments my fringes. Also, I am grateful that at least I know which hairstyle is not for me post lockdown.

How to Style your Favorite Graphic T shirt?

style

Who doesn’t own a T-shirt in their closet? Comfort and fashion in one wear. T-shirts are a great option for diverse occasions. More likely, Graphic T’s are way too chic and can be worn on many events. However, it still needs styling which may seem too brainstorming right? Besides simply wearing it with denim jeans, there are many other options too.

A Graphic T with playful or dark patterns according to your likeliness is enough for you to pull off ample of Graphic T looks. Let me help and guide you to style your Graphic T-shirts in a resourceful way.

Sports Wear

It can be paired up with biker shorts or any kind of sport shorts with your favorite pair of shoes and TA-DA, you are ready to flaunt it looking all cute. I added a pair of half socks and a hemp bag to complement the outfit. A blazer can be added to make the look chicer.

Formal Look

Here, I decided to let the T-shirt be as long as it is and paired it up with white trousers/pants. I picked a nude color close-toed shoes and made them work together which is personally my favorite outfit styling of the Graphic T. You can wear this to any formal event, lunch date, or even to your office. It has an intrusion of both fun playful mood and elegant vibes.

Jeans Cutoff or Shorts

My friends, it’s Summer and are you sure you don’t want to style your shorts? I added a playful Graphic T, tucked it in, and paired it up with my denim shorts and wore it with a half platform converse shoes.

Wide Jeans

With wide denim jeans, you can make the look more casual. It sends a relaxed go to watch the sunset in my T and jeans with converse mood. I did a braid on my hair and wore it with white converse.

Jumpsuit

Basic Outfits can still be styled to make it look more interesting and cute. I paired a Graphic T with a plaid jumpsuit with a hair bun and a sneaker. It turned out to be quite a casual cute look.

As a petite girl, I found these styles on Graphic T equally comfortable and trendy. You can try these styling methods to create ample looks with the same Graphic T.

8 ways to style Bandana

style

Fashion might cost you a lot but the styling will instead save a lot of pence. A small effort and a little time investment are what it takes you to style your appearance. Here are some tips on how you can look good with a small touch of Bandana.

A bad hair day? Bandana to your rescue.

Tie it up in a ponytail or braid it all along, you can wear it in your hair and try all the hairstyling methods you know. If not, a simple bun that you make in your daily life with a beautiful pattern Bandana will still make you look classy.

When it comes to expenses, few of these Bandanas are made out of my old clothes. I mean if you are about to throw some of your old clothes from your closet and if you think they are still stunning, yes cut it and style it as your Bandana.

It costs around 1$ which is around Rs 120 in Nepal. If you are a Nepalese, I would rather suggest you buy these Bandanas in normal cosmetic stores or normal accessories stores of your city rather than going up to big accessories stores or malls.

I think at the end of the day, a beautiful pattern and color are what matters when it comes to Bandana. We do not require some high-quality fabric or some kind of brand to wrap it up to your hair. Plus, as I said, fashion might but the styling was never meant to cost you too much money.

Or you could simply wear it around your neck or your bag.

Why do you need to own a pair of wide-leg pants in Summer?

style

Why I prefer wide pants over jeans in summer?

Here in Kathmandu, the warmest month is June and we have the temperature up to 29.1 degrees C in normal days.

Personally, I would either choose chill cotton shirts, shorts, or in case I have to cover it all, I choose wide-leg pants over tight jeans or shirts.

A pair of jeans would be too hot to handle and a skirt would be too hard to handle. Wearing a pair of wide-leg pants is like seeking to look good and find comfort in it.

It’s too hot and humid to walk around wearing tight jeans and why not cotton wide pants? I love the style anyway.

Is it too hot? Wear wide-leg pants!

Need something classy? Add wide-leg pants in your wardrobe!

Need something formal? Get it already!

Want something comfortable? You already know what to get..

HOW TO STYLE IT BETTER?

I have experimented with the wide-leg pants look with a crop top, off shoulder top, shirts with a bralette, and a slipper.

A wider or baggy shirt on wider pants makes you look very tiny and short. So, I think a crop top or any crop camis would be a great match or if you really wanna wear some kind of baggy shirt, consider wearing a bralette.

Plus you could always make it a formal look with these wide pants in any color of your preference with a good shirt tucked in and mules would be a good idea for a pair of shoes.

This is one of my favorite looks in sheer comfort. I actually yearn for these kinds of fabrics on hotter days. A little bit of tease with mesh and transparency, fresh and relaxing touch.

We can find these fabrics in many stores of Kathmandu, especially around Thamel and Bouddha areas. I got it from one of the stores in Bouddhanath Stupa.

Yeah, I like them just as they are, scrunched up and unironed.

Sweaters and Boots

Warm Poncho Styled Sweaters/ black check straight pant/Boots

Black is elegant. It seems simple, dark and yet feelings of all the other colors live within it.

As always, wearing black from top to bottom did go quite well for me. Paired up my Black Poncho with net design on the ends with black pant and boots.

“I will stop wearing black when they make a darker color.”

You can layer the black outfit with either vibrant or dark colored overcoat or a jacket ; Perhaps, you know you cannot go wrong with the black outfit.

Velvet High neck / Bandana/Black pant/Boots

I miss those hot-hot summer days. Who else is having summertime sadness ? My styling of bandana is simply my cravings to look refreshing as summer even in winter.

Just carried a purse which I received while buying a bag and styled the simple outfit with the high neck.

Winter Wardrobe

style

what could be better than an overcoat for this cold weather?

As we are witnessing more chilly mornings and darker days here in Kathmandu and yet it has not changed its mood for a while now, I think it’s high time to uphold the wardrobes with warm clothes ; of course the stylish ones.

A warm woolen midi skirt/dress accompanied with a black high neck mesh top seemed to blend quite well with each other. In fact, I layered them with a cream colored overcoat from top ; and combined the whole outfit with a pair of black boots.

OUTFIT

Clothes: A black high neck mesh top/ A peach colored woolen dress/ A cream colored overcoat

Shoes: A pair of black boots

Bag: A gray colored backpack

The only best thing about winter for me is the wardrobe and the sun.

1.WEAR IT AS A BASIC PANT:

Wrap pant is basically just a piece of plain clothing when you initially look at it.  Tying the four laces each at the fabric’s end , you can now style it at your convenience.  I chose myself a tribal print in carbon  black color.

Well, if you are a fan of skirts, you could always customize your wrap pants to a wrap skirt. Take the laces to any side you like ,tie it creating the slit look

  • Paired up with Sleeveless turtleneck Tee,Leather jacket, Hoop earring

3. CUSTOMIZE AND SEE WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU!

“Wear your amateurism (your heart, your love) on your sleeve.”
Numbers of experiment  on  the fabric, I paired it up with Basic black T-shirt/Pink Stripped T-shirt/Turtleneck/Leather Jacket/Jeans Shorts

Customized it into: pant/slit waist skirt/One piece

Meanwhile,  it is quite cheap costing around $6 to local Nepalese people.  It is easily available in shops around outskirts of Thamel, KTM. You can do window shopping of authentic Nepalese goods in Thamel while you go  purchase your piece of  fabric.
